BRIEF

In this collaborative project, teams of 2 to 3 members will develop a responsive web application called the “PopMart Collectible Tracker.” This project accounts for 100% of your course grade and will be evaluated throughout the semester.

Scenario: PopMart figurines are highly sought-after collectibles, sold through blind box models where buyers don’t know which figurine they will receive. As collections grow, enthusiasts struggle with tracking their purchases, identifying duplicates, and managing wishlists. Your Task: As professional web developers in a consultancy firm, your team is tasked with designing, developing, and deploying the PopMart Collectible Tracker, a web-based platform to help collectors manage their figurine collections.

REQUIREMENTS

The PopMart Collectible Tracker should include the following features:

1. Add & Manage Figurines:

o Users can input details, for examples name, series, edition, comment, and
upload images.

o Modify figurine details such as purchase date, condition, and categories.

o Delete figurines from the collection with confirmation prompts.

2. Collection Tracker:

o Display a comprehensive list of collected figurines with status indicators (owned, wishlist, duplicate, etc).

o Implement visual charts/graphs to represent collection progress and duplicate statistics.

3. Wishlist & Duplicate Management:
o Allow users to mark figurines they wish to acquire.
o Identify and list duplicate figurines for potential trade or sale.

4. Categorization & Organization:
o Users can categorize figurines by series, rarity, or purchase source.
o Enable sorting options by name, date added, or rarity.

5. Search & Filters:
o Provide advanced search functionality to filter figurines by name, series, edition, rarity, purchase date, and condition.

6. Database & Data Persistence:
o Use a database to securely store and manage figurine collection data.

7. Innovative Features:
o Propose and implement three new features using modern web technologies
(e.g., social sharing, API integration, AI-based suggestions).
